Course Description
This First Responder Chaplain course in July is part of a comprehensive program for Chaplains supporting First Responders and First Responder agencies in the Alamo/San Antonio area. Attendees will learn foundational concepts and practical skills to provide support and spiritual care to those in need. Chaplaincy is not based on a specific religion or denomination, a Chaplain is prepared to assist all, and refer as needed.
This comprehensive First Responder Chaplain Program consists of the First Responder Course in July, a 6-8 month “internship with mentorship” with a first responder agency or a community agency which supports First Responders, and opportunity for credentialing and ordination (as applicable) with annually renewal membership with the CAREForce (to be discussed in class).
