Mr. Wilson is the Community and Faith-Based Partner Program Manager, Veterans Mental Health Department, Texas Veterans Commission, Austin, TX.  He is founder of the Faith and Allegiance Initiative, a program that assists veterans and their families find social connectivity, community and a rekindled calling. His efforts earned him the Greg White Performance Award from the Texas Veterans Commission.

He previously served as Veterans Mental Health Programs Administrator, Oklahoma Department of Veterans Affairs, and led the building of a state-wide behavioral health Action Plan.  His civilian career includes a position as the Assistant Legislative Director, Disabled American Veterans, Washington, D.C.

Mr. Wilson joined the U.S. Air Force in 1974, was recognized as Personnel Officer of the Year, Air Force Logistics Command and Social Actions Officer of the Year, U.S. Air Force Europe. Mr. Wilson retired as a Lieutenant Colonel with 32 years of service. 

His Bachelor’s degree is from Our Lady of the Lake University, San Antonio, Texas, and Master’s degree is from Troy University, Troy, Ala.

Mr. Wilson and his wife, Belle, currently reside in San Antonio, Texas. They have a daughter and two grandsons.
